3 days per week? 5 days per week?? Everyday?
Do you feel like you leave your soul in the gym everyday? Or muscles are super sore every week? Or EVERY DAY?

You may be over training. Yes I believe it is important to train everyday. But RPE( rated perception of exertion) plays a huge role.
—
The most important thing you can do is move throughout the day. With my training plan I may burn about 500-600 cal in a workout session. In the whole day I burn close to 2500. The workout is not meant to be your calorie exertion.

But back to specific training. You should be on some specific cycle. (Meaning as you build in “weight” and intensity, there should also be a deload week where you’re still training and moving but it is less stress on the body)
- Some of your maintenance days will have weights but doesn’t mean you should be at RX or full capable weight.
- Same goes for cardio days. Not all of them will be pushed till failure or vomiting. Some of them will be to have an elevated heart rate for an extended period of time. Some people ask what the point is if you aren’t pushing yourself to your limits. If you think about your heart as a muscle (which it is) the more you work it, the better it gets. Ex: if I only ever train for 20 min my body will never be used to working for longer. You want your heart to last longer? Make it work longer, having it always at 180+ will only last so long.

You should def move or train everyday. But that intensity needs to vary, and well as your deloads.
